For a printer in Prep it would be very useful to have the possibility to configure default printer settings. Such as paper, print mode in color or b/w, duplex and so on. Similar function as "job defaults" in PM.
One of our customers has only one ProC7200 and I showed him how he can create and apply a preset in Prep and he found it a bit unfortunate that even though you only have one machine, you always have to do it through the presets. Why can't that be a setting for the machine?
In addition, the customer has 90 percent standard a4 paper printed in b/w and the machine is almost only filled with it. Thus I understood and confirmed his statement.
I could well imagine that in the printer management view the option would be configured with a new icon. Please see attached screenshot.
